  12. Actually, that was [based on] the US dollar. The USD was 4 to a pound just
    after WWII, hence 5s was worth a dollar and the half crown (2s 6d) was
    referred to as "half a dollar". At least, that's what my father told me but
    he was wrong about a lot of other things...

    The winter hack is spoken for. The 'racer' has just gone on Ebay. No
    need for a link - it's the only (complete) Gilera Nordwest currently on
    there.
