Paging Winos

  1. Right, I know *nothing* about wine so this may sound incredibly stupid
    but...

    If I buy a very good quality wine - be it white, red, or spirits come to
    that - will it still be drinkable in 50 years time, given correct storage?

    Further - if I buy a 50 year old bottle the above, will that be drinkable in
    50 years time?

    Ta muchly for any help.

    this is true, but the inverse is not the case i.e. newer Champagne is
    not necessarily better than older Champagne, because you have to take
    into account the vintage.

  4. Oh good - I saw some '54 port, bottled in Feb this year.

    Might take a further look at that.
