Once beloved of the chattering classes, Lindemans Bin50 Shiraz is now in
the Asda 3 for a tenner promo.

I must admit, I've been avoiding the generic Oz style of wine[1] due to
dullness. So, is Lindeman's the Blue Nun for the current decade?

[1] except for the odd bottle slipped into the M&S quarterly case, although
they tend to be a little more interesting with a 100% Grenache in the one
    dleivered today.

**** that, I've gone all pikey and brewing my own now for the last few
months, sat having some blackberry blush right now (abv approx 8%) and
lovely and sweet, only got 2 bottles left :-(

Mind you, I have 6 bottles of elderberry ready, then another 6 bottles
of apple wine which will be ready in 8 days, and another 6 bottles of
ginger and clove wine ready in 2 weeks.

Not brewed our own wine / beer for near on 18 years but we've gone all
good life recently, even have our own allotment and of course we've had
the chickens ever since we procured a hen house from one WUN of this
    parish :)

It may not apply to all their range, but I now find some Lindemans'
    wines excessively oaky.

just checked, seems Lindemans was sold by Philip Morris to Fosters in 2005
which was never going to be a good thing.
