If you are still a man of leisure I *might* on the other hand have
something interesting to work on. 3 ally brackets, wouldn't take long.

to stewart at bytel dot net dot uk please!

All the various addies in my headers are valid, and they all redirect to
    the account I check regularly.

I drilled the stud out re tapped the hole and set an 8mm stud in the hole
with JB weld ( good for 300oC) and used a nut on the stud. Seems to be a
good repair, holds tight and dosen't blow, took more that 15 mins, but not a
    lot !

The repair by to the down pipes by Banditmania is a good repair, nice
welding and a stainless stub, but......, the original stub seemed to be a
bit of an angle to accomodate the link pipe, and the repair is set straight
on the pipe, this means that the link pipe and silencer is under a bit of
stress when the silencer mount bolt is fitted, I was concerned that it might
blow fron the link pipe connection but one layer of exhaust bandage in the
old gasget is fine, with a new gasget it would be fine, I'll change it some
time I'm just glad to get it back on the road.

    Now, how much p/ex for a 1300 B King?
