  1. Just being nosey but how did your oriental gastronomic feast go after we
(well bits of ukrm) did all the translation for you?

    Fucking great, thanks!

Home made prawn crackers - even these were a hit, with a coriander and lime
    chilli jelly dip
    2 x soups - all gone
    Spicy chicken wings - gone
Peking cripsy duck - all gone
S&S tiger prawns - all gone
Braised pork shoulder in rice wine & soy sauce - loads left over, but I
*did* have to buy an 8kg pork shoulder!
Chicken chow mein - enough to last til Sunday
Singapore style rice vermicelli - gave some away
EF rice - always goes, innit?

I thin I served dessert, but can't remember what.

We appear to have got through 14 bottles of wine, a few beers and a couple
    of spirits (shots, not bottles)

Nothing burned, all tasted good and I got fucking rat-arsed after all had
    been served!

    Result all-round.

The h2g2 crispy duck made with local magrets canard went particularly
quickly - the pancakes were a pain (if only for the time they took for just
flour & water pancakes), but I was sensible enough to make them in the
morning and then chill and steam when needed. But given that no-one had
seen it round here before, it was well worth it.
