In The whole 'supervolcano' thing was touched upon in Bryson's book 'A Short History of Nearly Everything.' It doesn't sound like the sort of thing you want happening in your life time; it might chafe slightly.
Parts 1 & 2 of both the drama and the documentary are available on DVD: http://www.bbcshop.com/invt/bbcdvd1659&bklist=icat,3,,top10

In Don't go for Alpinestars though; the last time I exposed them to an erupting super-volcano, the stitching needed a fair amount of repair and the elbow on one of the arms scuffed badly.
It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember "platypus" I found it generally ok, but the **** was beginning to get bugged out of me by the cute little sqeaky sound effects every time they used some graphic display unit. -- Dave GS 850 x2 / SE 6a SbS#6 DIAABTCOD#16 APOSTLE#6 FUB#3 FUB KotL OSOS#12?
