Strangely enough, about that. That said this was a gen 1 Elford turbo with
the smaller 12B engine and even with the blower it should last longer than
    that.

A decent rebuild from someone who really knows what they're doing will last
longer unless you start upping the boost to silly levels. I'm not that much
into the 'silly modding' end of things - let's face it, a delimited and
slightly warmed over 3rd RX will easily top twice the speed limit - so I'd
expect to get about 50k+ out of a rebuilt FD engine.
    Heh. That certainly helps...

  2. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember Timo Geusch
    Interesting, ta.

I guess I'd have to pay for diesel on way or the other anyway...
Well, I'm near Barnet (about 3 miles off the A1) but a full day still sounds
    about right...
Hmmm. Looks like I've got to pick up the bike next weekend tho'...

Ta muchly for the offer - I may have to take you up on this unless I can
find a trailer/towcar a little more locally. I'll be in touch in the next
    couple of days.

If you mean next weekend as in Saturday the 19th and Sunday 20th, you'd have
to let me know before wednesday, and I'd prefer to do it Saturday, though
Sunday isn't totally out of the reckoning yet, until swmbo returns ... ;).

That'll be the one - I've just had a look at the fairy tales, erm, rail
timetable and I could be in Doncaster around 10am.

Please let me know if it is OK with you, otherwise I'll ask that nice Mr
Sweller if I could borrow his van...

OK, tried to email but Hotmail is shagged, it seems.

Anyway .. the email said ..

No problem. If you're in Doncaster for 10 am I'll be there to collect you
and we'll take it from there. I drive a green (under the mud) Landrover
Discovery and will be towing a bike trailer, so shouldn't be hard to spot,
'specially as the Station car park is being dug up, so parking is at a
premium and the bigger and muddier the vehicle the better .. ;).

Email me back when you have confirmed details of Train times. I'll send you
my phone number too, 'just in case'.

    Regards,
