I wonder how that compares to mine...

    2002 '52 Reg Yamaha R6
    15k miles
MOT till Sept + taxed 'till November
    FSH
    Completely standard
Looks as good as new, but had been cat-D (cosmetic) write off.

Just wondering, like. I've got my eye on a nice new Speed Triple... I've
got a hunch that it's not worth anything and hence I'm better off just
    keeping it ad-infinitum/for track use.

  4. Hmmm, not sure - after all, yours doesn't seem to be able to boast the
"one careful lady owner" card ...

If I ever decide to sell mine I think I'll have to include the line, "First
to see will wish they hadn't".

"Ideal for beginner": the bodywork's trashed already, so it doesn't
matter if you drop it some more.

I told you that you'd want to sell it once you bought the 9R.

  10. It's not so much that - guy at work has a friend who's looking for one.
However, I won't know whether I want to sell it until TOG very kindly
gives me some idea of what price I could get! HINT HINT!!!

    ;-)

Mebbe it's just me, but for commonly available bikes I think you're
better off looking at what other people are asking for them on
www.biketrader.co.uk After all, that's what you'd do if you were
    buying - isn't it?

  13. Yeah, but the prices do seem to vary quite a bit for very similar bikes
and there's a difference between what you ask for and what you get
IYSWIM. I'd prefer to have TOG's opinion tbh.

Well according to Loz last weekend there is a big shortage of these in
    dealers around the London area.

Very true. i've spoken to a few dealers and they all say that quality
stock in the 600 range is hard to find. In other parts of my area there
are dealers with too many of them.

It dos very much depend on area.

Whoops, sorry, missed this the first time.

Ermmmmm.... right bike, stock, sounds good. Money's tight, though, and
there are a lot of sports 600s around. Are we talking trade-in or
private sale? I'd have thought about 3.5k privately. Mayb3 500 quid
    less as a trade-in.

Dependfs if the dealer has a lot of 600cc stock on the showroom floor,
mind. You might get more against a decent bike, if he wants the 600.

  19. Heh - no worries, thought you had me killfiled or summat ;-)
It would be a private sale - bloke at work knows someone who's looking
for one. It's in pretty good condition but not pristine IYSWIM.

Mind you, I'm still not convinced I want to sell it :)

    Thankee kindly for that.

And, of course, don't forget that my 9R, which was Loz's, was also Dick
    Dastardly's :)
