So then, did you sell yours?
If so, or not, I was also wondering how difficult you found it to get
    insurance for it?

  2. Haven't advertised it yet. As for insurance, it's on my classic policy
    for peanuts.

Ah, for some reason I developed a real hankering for one this last week
(again) been looking on epay at a few but ive heard that only honda ones are
    any cop.
there seems to be a myriad of different makes on there such as, italjet,
benelli, and jincheng which claims to manufacture them under licence.

So, really I think i want a honda and something that ill be able to source
parts for, do i remember you saying something about being able to fit a C90
    engine into one?
And what kinda cash are you after for yours?

  4. The C90 lump won't fit without major surgery to the frame. Mine's the
70cc, which is adequately powerful anyway (top whack 45mph or so). It's
a Dax, not a true Monkey Bike, but it's still a hoot.

I'd take 450 quid. For that you get a load of useful spares, including a
gasket set, odds & sods, spare carb. It's taxed and tested until October
    or November.

Mudguard needs a blow-over with some more silver paint, I've noticed.
Cosmetically, it's not the greatest - OK, but not original - but
mechanically it's fine. I s'pose a new battery (about eight quid)
    wouldn't come amiss either.

Wouldnt want to get involved in frame surgery for certain! Like you say a 70
would be adequate anyway im sure.
Hmmmmm tempted still, very tempted. Though there is one on ebay at the mo
with a few days to go at £270ish and another at just over a ton but a week
or so to go. I might see how they go, particularly the one in cambridge and
then get back to ya. Of course Im still tempted more by yours as i know
you'll have it well set up.

It's pointless looking at prices on ongoing Ebay auctions, as all the
bidding happens in the last two minutes. Have a look at completed
auctions (you need to do an advanced search and check the relevant

Here, I've done it for you:

Strikes me I'm under-valuing it, actually, looking at that......

Anyway, I'm off skiing this week, so you've a couple of weeks to make
    up your mind.
