Paging TOG - odd Ebay question

Just been asked if the Nighthawk was made in Japan or the U.S.

Did they actually build them there or just produce models for the U.S.
market?

Wanted first few digits of the VIN. I'm a bit suspicious, but thought
just "MC26" couldn't permit cloning even in possession of the
registration number.

No. A high miler that is, and oop north.
£350 and 78 watchers on ours. Still, going on that one I can't expect
much more I suppose.
