Paging ToG - French trip

  1. What time is the hotel proposing serving dinner?

I ask, because Ypres is close by, and they have the Last Post at 8pm
    every evening.

Maybe something could be arranged, if several folk wanted to go one
    evening?

Yeah, I wouldn't mind that. I went once when I was aged about 11, but
it would be nice to go and see/hear it again.

Google maps puts it about half an hour away so we're probably better
off trying to get the Last Post moved earlier by an hour!

I suspect you'll have to miss dinner and feed yourself somewhere. A
package deal like ours usually relies on everyone eating together.

It'd be worth it, though, if you haven't been - and don't mind being
    made thoroughly miserable.

A real "daddy or chips" moment.

Both when we went. Snivelled our way through the Last Post then hit
town and a bottle of champers (with steak frites for me) to celebrate
    our first wedding anniversary.

I know how to show a gal a good time.
