I still regard camping with horror. I'm blaming you for my having
    undertaken it. Cheers me dears.
Which reminds me have you sorted a date for December - youngest wanted
to know - I think she's planning on interfering with Will now him and
    Becca have split.

A bit (300 miles) further south and not really much east or west any
good? About half as much room for tents as the Black Horse unless you
can cope with a slope, but there is a caravan available for a couple of
    bodies.

No shortage of firewood, but the pompiers won't be impressed if I make
    the local forest catch light.

I might have a hopefully controlled blaze sometime next week as it
    happens.

On the R65? That's like putting hardpoints on the wings of a Ford Fiesta.

    My pleasure.
Laura's term ends Friday 19th, so I was thinking that the 20th would be
    good.

  13. Yeah, but this time he's got a decent bike for it...

anyway, i really do need to buy a new bike. Prices don't seem to be
falling as fast ad I'd thought. Still, announcement of a new 1198 and
1198S in a few weeks should help the 1098s prices drop a bit by
    January.

Mine will be going early next year but the big decision is whether or
not to rip off all the 'toys' and ebay them or just sell the bike as
it stands even though I'll get less overall. I'll probably bung it on
a dyno somewhere close to home before I sell it and if the figures are
high then it's an aid to selling and if they're low then it never
    happened.

The chances are that because I'm a lazy bastard I'll be trading the
bike in against a new one. There's a 50-50 chance that I'm going to be
doing about 3 months of night shifts working on the latest sub so
    money won't be an issue.

Like he'll still have that in 6 months' time.
The trade-up from a 750 to a thou should be pretty cheap for me. Still
haven't quite decided whether to go gixer thou, 10R or maybe a 996/998.

Well you wouldn't want one of the newer 10R's. Andy is thinking of
    selling his though.

A 996 is probably slower or equal to your 750 though different to ride.
As quick on a nice road perhaps but not in a long straight run.

It's definitely have to be one of the first single-exhaust ones, and
not in metallic primer. The later ones are hideous.
Yeah, I figured that, but I wouldn't mind having a Ducati at some
point, even if not for very long. Trouble is, the 916-style models are
really starting to look dated now - not a timeless design after all.
