I did enjoy the runs that I went on with 'TOG Tours'. It was a great way
to get away from work.
It's just that since retiring at 50 I tend to think about 14 days away
and I don't know I could convince J to take a bike tour rather than a 5*
'All Inclusive' somewhere warm.

TOG finds and books medium-sized hotels, and negotiates cheap ferries. The
hotel booking seems to be the major thing, especially as many of the less
hardy here regard camping with horror. If you fancy hosting something,
you'd be better doing it as a separate event. I've been doing it like that
for a few years now - one simply announces a date, and braces oneself.

If - as you seem to be implying - you're living in bucolic splendour
somewhere in eastern France, and fancy having a mob of ukrmers show up for a
weekend, then I'm sure many of the rag shed tendency would be interested.
Lay in lots of firewood, and warn the neighbouring towns and villages.
