I've chucked away Dad's handy (and incorrect) price guide so I said I
ask your opinon on his bike (cost that is):

    1996 (P Reg I think)
    Red
    6500 miles
    Mint condition
    ABS
    Screen
    Hand guards

It's all a bit moot anyway since he'll probably accept whatever the BMW
dealers offer him but he'd like to know a ballpark figure anyway if you
    have an idea.

    Cheers

  2. That'll be worth a bit. I can easily see a dealer punting that out for
well over 4k. Probably more like 4500.

    If he's just selling it, they'll give him 3k. As a trade-in, 3500.

If he justs want shot of it, I'd say sell it privately.

Thanks a lot for that, I really didn't have a clue what it was worth and
there don't seem to be a lot of 2nd hand private ones out there so I was
struggling. I'll pass it on and see what he thinks.

Knowing him he'll try and do a trade in anyway because he wants another
BM and he likes an "easy life". I'll do my best to try and get him to at
least consider an ad in MCN. Bit of tyre kicking never hurt anyone.

    Cheers

I say the same thing time and time again, although in fairness I think
he's done about half that mileage since he's had it, which is only about
a year. Still he's happy to be a "weekends only" boy, which is his
    choice I guess.
