Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only peeps that are permitted to
display a HELP sign are disabled cage drivers. Upon seeing a HELP
sign in a car on a motorway or wherever one is supposed to call the
    police so they can investigate.

I wasn't looking so much at that, more the device that comes with it - seems
like a good idea to me, given how some of the 'tards around these parts have
run out of fuel when on TOG tours etc. ;-)

A mate of mine's dad used to buy Villiers engined Invacars for scrap, we
used to race them round the field behind their house when I was about
    11.

I once worked with a disbaled guy called Tommy Devine in Bedford, and he
had a 250cc Villiers stroker engined one that some old biker mates of
his had ported and tuned, it went like stink.

  9. There was a bloke in Guildford who had one with IIRC a 600cc Sachs
engine in it. I certainly followed him once at around 90mph along a
    dual carriageway.

Heh... so anyway... what happened to all those 'Invacars'... all now
    destroyed?

    Not seen one in years.

The last one I saw was on its side and I had to cut the
passenger's seat belt to stop it throttling her.

Then 2 fire engines and 3 police cars arrived to help.

I couldn't work out why they didn't just hoik the Invacar the
right way up and proceed from there, but they got out all their
high tech cutting stuff and removed the roof off the man's pride
and joy. (to the pure ....)

No deaths reported (apart from the Invacar).

My Grandfather [1] had one, he used to take me to the Labour Club in it
(I used to sit on the battery case) then drive it home pissed.

The Old Bill used to get quite uppity if he had a passenger. I got the
impression they weren't too bothered about the drinking.

[1] He of had a run in with a train on a bicycle at 14 and lost both
    legs fame.
