    1. Is there still room for three people?
    2. Is anybody else likely to arrive with teenage kids? I'm thinking of
bringing SO and her daughter aged 14 [1] on a trike.

[1] Calm down! She's too old to barbiQ and her Mum is a killer!

You never said anything about bringing the mother as well. Are you
    sure she's up to it?

Is SO likely to get arsey about people saying "**** and "****" in the
presence of said 14 year old?

Because there's a fighting chance someone will....

This is all very interesting and entertaining but
it doesn't actually answer my original question:
    Is there still room?

    Who can tell me?

Radical thought here: you could try e-mailing the old gimmer.

IIRC it's a big enough hotel that there should be space., Try
contacting them direct (google for its name).

Bad Idea, IWHT. I'd leave it to TOG when he gets back, or you're going
to (a) confuse the issue and (b) not get the same rate on hotel and
ferry as the rest of the group.

Of course, if you get it cheaper, we'll kill the ****...

Naah, he's happy for those of us on thios side of the pond to sort it
    out for ourselves.
Hardly. The hotel won't care if he's with the same group or not.
I'm not sure if TOG's got a better rate organised or not - I did ask
at one point but he didn't reply to that point. In any event, French
hotels tend to have strictly controlled room rates, usually to be
found stuck on the back of each door. If I can make it this is how
I'll be planning to book it. No point in confusing the issue by trying
to get TOG involved, with cash/checque transfer issues, etc. etc.
He's not going to need a ferry, YTC.
    Heh.
