  1. I'm assuming that the aircraft had a working engine beforehand and only
    started gliding after Timo sat in it.

  5. Yes, I have, and only by winch. Never by aerotow. As you say, a winch
    launch is awesome.

    I recommend a bungee launch over a gorge now sir has experienced the winch
    :eek:)

    Aerotowing is interesting too. The trick seems to be to absolutely keep the
    nose pointed at the tow-plane, and the glider's wings parallel with the
    tow-plane's. Video-game stuff.
