  1. Last Novemeber when I posted a link to the van I'd bought, did you
happen to click on the link by any chance?

Look, we're lost in Timo's garage, and the lights have failed.

    I suggest we split up...

Bear scribbled on the back of a napkin:
I didn't mention that when I was down at TOG's gaff when we went and
picked up his ShiteOldCB750, the remote for the Skyline alarm stopped
    working?

And TOG phoned me the next morning to complain that his alarm remote
    had also stopped working?

Strangely enough both of them work again but I bet the neighbours got a
bit pissed off when I tried to disable the alarm on the Skyline a few
times because I didn't get the code right originally...

    That thing is *loud*

  13. At this point, I recall that Timo came along for the ride up to Leeds
when I collected the ShiteOldCB750 weekend before last.

When we got back to the Chateau, the alarm/immobiliser "lipper" wouldn't
allow him to reactivate his Impreza.

Wailing of alarms, flashing of lights, but no motion. Timo hot on the
blower to the man who fitted it (at 7pm on a Saturday) and, amazingly,
    got it sorted.

    Timo departed.

I made for my car (late for an evening out) and.... my Primera, the very
car Timo had been sitting in, wouldn't let me in either.

This begs the question: would you, say, fly on an aircraft with Timo? Or
even in one that he'd previously flown in?

  15. That's the problem, isn't it? He should have some stickers made up;
"Timo was here", or have a disclaimer on any thing you sign; "This car
has been Timo'd". We should really go back to the days of the black
death and have someone paint a big red "X" on his front door :)

  17. Some years ago one of the contractors[1] had a similar effect as Timo
with anything mechanical. My hire car just died one morning a day
after I'd been working with him. My manager suggested it was his fault
and when I said he'd be nowhere near the car replied "he doesn't need
to get in, anything within 100 metres breaks in sympathy"

[1] Definitely not German, so there's an English version out there
    somewhere.
