    I'm 10 years into a 3 year resto on a Mk2, so I think I probably AM in
    trouble ! :)

I wish time was a purchaseable (sp?) commodity.

    JL
    (and I won't mention the poor Daimler that's deteriorating 'cos I don't
have time to give it enough TLC <sigh>)

Andy Wegg scribbled on the back of a napkin:
Trust me, it's definitely noticeable, the more breathed on the engine
is the more you notice it.

The difference gets smaller over the years though...
It always depends on "which lumpier cam" as there are a few - the
regular sport cam isn't bad, an L5 (the unholy grail of Morini tuning)
will make it take off rather well...

Flat out. My guess is about 130mph.

    <snip>

The TT600R would stay. The comfy TeDiuM would have to
go because there are about a thousand places on the enduro
course I try to do weekly where I'd need a mobile crane to
    get it unstuck.
After all, what's wrong with standing up half the time
because of saddlesores, having hands numb up to the elbow
and carrying the holiday kit in a FOAD rucksack?

Easy, for practicallty, touring, economy (servicing, parts and running)
    It would be the XJ900F.

Despite how much I love the XJR.....

It's going to be a sauce machine when it's been done. Well, it'll look
much the same but smarter; with an engine sans hole and that runs.

Problem is I've put the replacement turbo in a safe place /before/ I
tidied the workshop. **** knows where I've put it...

A wheel is quite big; a turbo is about the size of a grapefruit but
    rustier.

    Yes, I've lost it...

    Wing. No contest.

I could get the DLR to work instead of riding the Blackbird, and the
other two would hardly be missed.
