Need somewhere to eat in Runcorn.

Any suggestions, other than "not Runcorn" ?

I recommend for you the Mirchi Special Naga at
    http://www.mirchiindianrestaurant.co.uk/

I haven't eaten there but it was recommended. I didn't get further than the
McPub next door to the Premier Inn on the M56 junction as it was 5 miles
    into the town.

    Where are you stopping?

If you're near the centre and want Indian food then I'd recommend the
Mirchi. It's easy to find because it's just around the corner from
Wetherspoons but make sure you go upstairs to get in the restaurant
because there's another one at ground level over the road that's shit.

I've just been ginged but at least I've eaten there on a number of
occasions and it's always been good.

No chance. I tried a vindaloo in there once and that hotter than I'd
    normally go for.

The Holiday Inn, just for one night, which I suspect is on the edge of
    town.

It's quite a way out and from there you'll be better off going into
Frodsham. I can't suggest anywhere to eat in Frodsham but the pubs are
    certainly a lot better.

I should note that this is for V's birthday.

For which, believe it or not, she wants to go to Runcorn.

  10. I've got drunk and eaten indian in Frodsham, but I can't remember which
restaurant it was. IIRC it was on the main street, walking distance
from the Old Hall Hotel, or whatever it's called.

I've stopped in Frodsham a couple of times when I was working at
Rocksavage and I'm pretty certain I've eaten in an Indian there but
it's not one that's stuck in my mind as being a good one.

It's about a £5 taxi from the Holiday Inn to Runcorn town centre (old
town centre) so not bad but I don't think the better Indian
    compensates for the shit pubs.

We usually stop at the Campanile in Runcorn when we're working at the
power plant because it's a 5 minute drive to work, they pour beer for
us as soon as they see us drive in the car park and you can stand on
the balcony outside your room if you want a smoke but the town centre
can be a bit dodgy on a Friday or Saturday night iyswim.

  14. I'm in Chester at the end of May.

    Decided to try this:

    http://www.runningdiary.co.uk/go/view.cgi/5970

How hard can it be? I've ran 17miles recently so it's only another 9 and
    a bit...

    gulp.
