So, SWMBO is after some protective trousers with hip and knee armour
preferably for going pillion, mainly as she whinges that it's a wee bit
cold at the moment, though to be fair, she would rather have some half
decent protection if she came off.

So, I have a pair of (not) oxford bonedry textile trousers that are 4xl
apparantly and I have about a 46/47 inch waist and these are comfy with
jeans on, she's tried on mine and they are too small, not by a lot but
im pretty sure it doesnt look like a 5 xl would be comfy, so a 6xl is
    probably better for comfort.

Problem is I can't find anywhere that does this size and they must be
out there as there's loads of blokes (and some lasses) Ive seen on
bikes that are bigger than me or her!

So, anyone got any specific recommendations of where's good to check
out nearish to bedford, and by nearish I mean a 40 - 50 mile radius to
go and physically try some on?

I know the supamoto where Loz works but Ive been in there before and am
pretty sure they didnt cater for the larger built chaps and chapesses,
heading down Luton way anyway tomorrow and I know there's at least one
bike shop that way that may be worth a look while there but anyone got
    any other favourites / recommendations?

For the sizes you're specifying, sounds like there's plenty of padding
    there already :)

I'm surprised that either of the vehicles can move with a pillion.
