This is, cheapofly to BCN, rent a bike, do the Dago BOSM, back to UK.

    Suggested rental company is
    http://www.imtbike.com/
As june 24th is Catalan National Hangover Day (after Saint John night) bank
holiday, rental should cover week-end + extra day. This is, from thursday
    june 23rd 18:00 until monday june 27th 10:00.

    Plan is:

    - Arrival depending on chosen flights. For extra previous nights Switters
found what seemed a nice place.

    - 23rd, evening, bike collection and trip to the Andorran border. Half board
    and night at 36 EUR.

    - 24th, some morning shopping and trip from Andorra la Vella to Andorra de
Teruel somewhere in deep Spain. Night at Chateau d'Omenec.

    - 25th, morning trip to the Dago BOSM, night of booze, etc. Full board at
some 30 EUR. It is sort of a Youth Hostel, the überposh can choose hotel.

    - 26th, trip back to Barcelona. Will avoid Valencia, paella is fine but the
trip is shite. Will mainly do the area where Rally Catalunya is held at
    present.

Some crash space can be managed for the last night.

Or from the Deep South. Assuming I'm back on the booze by then. If not, I
will already have killed myself, so not an issue.
Know the place well. Not roomy though.

    Shopping?
Listen up you dozey Brits. At least the Dagoes know when Summer begins —
    June — not fucking April.
Avoiding Valencia is good. Last time there, I got a speeding ticket on a
pay-road. And in June the limit will still be the temporary energy-saving
    110km/h.

Paella is rice wi' bugs. As you well know.

If I do go, I'll go up to BCN early so the wife can look at stuff and I can
rest my arse for a couple of days.

You'd better go to the Dago-BOSM place, near Mora de Rubielos, closer to
    your place.
    I don't expect masses :)
In Andorra la Vella. A little.
    We'll talk about it, then.

**** yeah. A mere 500 kms. Nice comfy days' ride. Motorways though. At
    110km/h.

I can fill the top box with catalan beer.

Not necessary, the hostel owner fills the beer machine of local cans and
    leaves it open.

It rained last year, and when you've packed only t-shirts and shorts, it's
fucking cold in the mountains. The ride changed from 12C in the mountains
to 36C (I think) down on the plains. It felt about 16C at the hostel,
then was 28C in Valencia the next day, and about the same in Barcelona
    that night.

    # It's hot in the city.

Note to pikeys: the beer isn't free. They're reasonably priced and it
works on an honesty system. Any shortfall comes out of the pocket of the
bloke doing the organising, who's a super nice bloke.

I'll be more than happy if the Pyrenées trip is postponed til next year.

Presume from the lack of response that you're not interested in that
other weekend trip I suggested, btw?

Yeah but it wouldn't be long until we could divvy up F and the 2 bikes.

Though TBF you are lasting longer than expected. Maybe you started out
    younger.

any time from May to September you have to be prepared for such temperature
ranges in short distances in the Pyrenees or Alps. Last time I went to Lake
Garda, during late June it was 35C in Garda town and 4C at 2000m in the
Brenta Dolomites a few km to the north.
