    The weatherburd on BBC1 this morning was talking about 31C on Saturday
    and Sunday - followed by thunderstorms Sunday ... which seems to fit
    the pattern of weather here, really.

    In uk.rec.motorcycles, Pip amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
    I've also heard (for the last two days at least) that's it's going to be
    high twenties this weekend. They also said " the odd spot of rain" this
    morning but atm there's more than a few spots.

    Scrummy! And I've even got the weekend off... looks like ideal Bimble
    weather. I might go out for a trip to Rye or a bit further to
    celebrate.

    The trouble with Rye on hot weekends is I find that there are so many
    other bikes on the road that I don't really enjoy it as much as a trip
    on a week day.
