Possibly. But from a practical point of view, snowmobiles were not
    excluded either.

I'm relying on either groveling like a bastard to the authorities and
them seeing sense and letting us go or just saying **** it and hope we
don't get caught. The downside of the latter approach is that once
we're actually there it'll be pretty obvious what we've done and it
could all go a bit Rambo on us.

Two of us have got form when it comes to ignoring road closed signs
    (1) and the others are easily led so I'm sure we won't give up too
    easily.

    (1) The photo of the bikes parked by a wall of snow some 15 or so
miles past the closed sign has been posted on a number of times.

I prefer to think of it as asking nicely and attempting to bribe our
    way forward.

Of course, we all know that when it comes down to it we'll just ride
around any barrier and claim we didn't know bikes were banned.

Look at it this way: you're freezing your 'nads off trying to keep a
road closed (and have been for some time). You haven't seen the sun for
three months. Polar bears are starting to look quite svelte and sexy.

And then you get Bomber Bonwick threatening to be "nice" to you...

  6. Wasn't Edvard Munch Norweigan?

I'm sure 'that' painting was some sort of a pre-echo of a certain
incident in a Campanille car park.

He did numerous versions of the same image. Must have been nasty
    recurring nightmares.

  8. I think I'd have nasty recurring nightmares about that.
