Heh, I've seen several people with that sort of thing fitted at the
Elefant but I'll be relying on good old fashioned studs screwed into
fucking great big knobbly tyres.

We're all going to crash at some point so it's just a matter of

That's not a motorbike so why would any of us be interested? We could
hire a 4x4 and probably increase our chances of getting to the
Nordkapp but that's not why we're going is it?

 

If they get snowed in they can always find an unattended bob run.

 

I merely thought it was a pretty fucking cool snow toy. I've not seen

According to <http://www.nordkapp.no/winter.57979.en.html> the road
between Honningsvåg and the "North Cape" attraction site is closed to
the general public from December to end March, for safety reasons. There
is some conflicting info whether you are allowed to follow the daily bus
service in a convoy by 4x4 or not. But not surprisingly, where is says
private cars[1] are not allowed, MCs are not mentioned.

We've got a plan which might get us permission to use the road but
it's not the end of the World if they say no. If we're not allowed to
go in the convoy then we might have to go outside the law a little
bit.

 

Seems like you have made plenty of back-up plans then. Since you
presumably know the convoy will not be the way to the actual Cape North
(rather the champagne & caviar event at "Cape Commercial"), I will look
forward to hear about how you made it from Skarsvågkrysset and onwards.

 

The logic may be that if you're insane enough to try on a MC, you
deserve what you get.
