It feels a bit odd posting something about a motorcycle, but here goes...

Colleague has just bought an XT660R [1] to replace his shockingly sedate
    Yam 250 trailie.

Anyway, he's finding the XT a little uncomfy compared to the 250 as the
peg to seat distance is a little short for him [2]

Thoughts at the mo are a raised seat, thought that might be tricky [3]
so anyone know of a peg lowering kit for the XT? Nothing obvious from
google but my mojo might be on a break.

[1] No, he doesn't want to go camping in subzero temperatures
[2] Chronic back problem requiring him to stand all the time [3]
    [3] not a 17'6" giant.

google chucks up an SW Motech part on a .za site
    http://www.iwarehouse.co.za/motorbi...tpegs/sw-motech-wide-footpeg-kit-tenere-xt660

Eventually found it on their website
    http://shop.sw-motech.com/lshop,sho...17947,products.ergonomie.fussrasten,,,50,.htm
Had to look under product rather than a bike specific search

    http://www.motohaus.com/ is the UK distributor

99 euros, 100 quid, take your pick. Seems a lot compared to the 70 euros
I paid Migsel for my lowered pegs on the R-GS

Cheers, Wessie, I'd just found that myself. Not sure if 15mm would be
enough but as it's his money not mine I might just find out :)

It's prolly cheaper and more practical than a 15mm higher seat though

My Migsel ones are 30mm lower and make a huge difference to comfort,
especially when allied to a Sargent seat.

Let him sort it out for himself then.

A seat from Digger Dave would be about £100, made to measure and more
    comfortable than OEM IME.

Others have pointed to lowered pegs.

I raised the seat on myKLE500 2 cm or so by removing the original cover,
cutting and fixing with foam glue a 20mm thick extra layer made from camping
mat sourced from the army - very nice stuff, quite stiff and supportive. I
then gave it to an upholsterer in Brecon who re-covers farmers' quad seats
(as well as sofas). He charged me £25 (4 years ago) and made a very nice job
    of it.

Slightly higher and much more comfy.
