    How do you pronounce "Llandegla"?

    I think it's "Lan-deth-li" but I'm not sure.

    It's about 2 miles from my house :) .. and it's pronounced

    Clan deg la

ish :) ... the LL sound is made by placing you tongue behind your top front
teeth and blowing across your tongue while making an th-L sort of sound ...
warning don't have anyone infront while practicing, spit is considered ill
mannered :) We're used to people saying Clan instead of Llan and I guess
    it's close enough.

What the pronounciation? It's (sort of)

    Clan drin dod Wells :)
There's some great routes/roads around there, not too sure of the pubs n
food as I only ever pass through on ride outs from home and it's far enough
from my gaff to not go for an evening.

I worked as head chef at

    http://www.wildpheasanthotel.co.uk/

for 5 years, and they're doing some good deals on accomodation according to
a sign outside at the moment, ISTR it saying about 30 quid a night which is
not bad and it's a good base for touring . Llangollen is the sort of start
of north Wales for many as it' sthe first stopping point. The Horseshoe Pass
is a couple of miles outside the town and is always a popular meeting spot.

Further up the road and up the price range is

    http://www.tyddynllan.co.uk/

The food here is a delight, note to self book dinner at the Tydden Llan
    again :)

    Pronounciation

    Ti th en Clan
    Cue "Deliverence" theme :)

I gave up sending my parents xmas & birthday cards when they moved to
their current address[1]. One can only use so many L's & D's[2] in a
    lifetime.

[1] Llanddewi, Llandrindod Wells, etc etc
[2] Look, they're for readability, OK?

ah ... MTB at Llandegla forest? That's actually only a few mins from my
gaff, it's where we walk the dogs. There's a resevoir at the top of the
trail which makes it quite a pretty spot in the summer to picnic etc.

The turn off car park for the MTB place/cafe etc is just about where the "A"
    in "A525" is on here

As others have said, Clan drin dod - means Holy Trinity I think - or
Landod, yes they really do use that. And nobody ever puts the Wells
bit on. I used to live there. My parents had a lovely antiquarian
bookshop there until they retired (my Dad used to joke about being
called Parris the Book, but some people really did).
A couple of years ago we ate at a brilliant restaurant in the old pump
rooms in the Rock Park, dunno if it's still going, was nearly empty
when we were there. There's a good pub for food (the Ll... Arms, sorry
can't remember the rest) just over the footbridge at the station and
down a short cul de sac. Do NOT stay at the Hampton, cheap it is, and
there are good reasons why. When rained out of our illegal campsite at
Cefnllys (lovely spot up Quarry Road, and down and along and round a
corner) we stayed there, ugh. Good brekkers though. Get cheap eats at
the great baker near the station and head off for a picnic at
    Cefnllys.
Ah yes, lots of dropouts, druggies, hippies and shroomers round there.
