    Proper. Need to place a death notice.
    Found that but 'contact us' does not provide a phone number for some
    absurd reason.

    Yes, it does.

    Can't be sure, but I think it's the free one pushed through the door
    every Thursday.

    Western Mail or South Wales Echo - at a guess.

  11. That's one of those towns that is forever twinned with a ridiculous
    fictional association in my head. In this case, Minas Tirith.

    those would be the ones I would use for such a notice

    http://www.caerffili.gov.uk/site.aspx?s=qeg7eDFodEYHWVZp1OKhXA== has a list
    of media outlets. The Campaign free paper seems to be the only alternative.

    WM & SWE circulate in Cardiff & along the M4 corridor which would be a
    better demonstration of the OP discharging his responsibilities than using
    some freebie with full page ads for double glazing.

    thinking about this a bit more, the definitive answer would be to find
    out where the local authority place their statutory notices e.g.
    planning, road closures etc. An email/phone call should soon discover
    that - there's a couple of people listed in the press office if you
    click "media enquiries" in my link above.
