Seen in the UK (eBay) a nice vintage bike that weights (I think) 100
    kilos.

Any hints on British transportation companies and their websites with
    price simulators?

    Thanks.

PS1: Let's see how it compares to the 140 kilos XR600 that I recently
sent from within Spain to Barcelona, 900kms. It costed about 100 euros.

PS2: Bear driving it down to Casa Carmichael would not be considered as
a safe mean of transportation )

100kg - must be something very small and shite, then.

Try a van company. There are lots of small- to medium-sized vans doing
regular Continental runs these days. Do a Google search using the words
    "Continent Freight Van Groupage"

  3. I don't see why not. Then you could come down the deep south for a beer,
and ride the SOB up to Catalán country.

A circa 1964 bike with 250cc, with less than 20cv is not what Bear would
fancy for such a long journey. I fear that he would trade it for beer (worst
of all, French beer) several miles past Calais.

Anyway, Bear is welcome to Barcelona.

    Certainly it would be expensive.

60 would be more like it for a SO 60s 200cc 2 stroke.
In the majority of cases, you would be lucky to get that.

Think Honda C90 without the ability to be thrashed to death.

The shite bike is a '64 Bultaco Saturno, a rarely sold "soft version" of the
'62 Bultaco Metralla, that at some 30hp could top more than 100mph , and in
1966 at the IOMTT set a speed record for its class that the Japanese could
only beat by the mid seventies. Don't know much about the Saturno exact
specs, but according to the site the engine is the same with a different
    carb.
