  3. "Páginas amarillas" - "Pages yellows".

Double negatives are also the norm. "No sé nada, soy de Barcelona".
    Not surprised.

  5. Yes, and there is 'agreement' between nouns, adjectives and past
    participles.

'la bicyclette bleue' ('the blue bicycle')
    'l'ordinateur gris' ('the grey computer')

'je l'ai vu' ('I saw _him_')
'je l'ai vue' ('I saw _her_')

  6. I do. The adjective applies to the eyes, not to 'itself', i.e. it's
plural and not singular. Erm .. I'm struggling to find another example
... try, 'les chèques volés de Martin' -- Martin's stolen cheques.
There's only one Martin, but his cheques are plural, and so the
adjective 'volé' ('stolen') is in the plural.

I really need to dig out my server and get the thing up and running
    again..

I've asked this before after using I'd've a few times. I think the
result was that it's bad grammar or sentence construction, so you
shouldn't need it at all (I'd've thought).

Ah but IIRC in Italia, "Pagini (pl.) giallo (sin.)"
Don't blame me - 6 teachers in the two years to "O" level really didn't
    help

  15. "I nothing, I'm from Barcelona". Fawlty Towers.

But literally "I don't know nothing...".

  20. I've heard it's banned in the UK now. Is this true?

(oh, and I did leave out a "know" from the other post).
