    Lovely. It's the only model of his that I would want, mind you. The
    rest of his portfolio is the most extraordinary collection of old
    crap.

    An aside: some years ago I bought a bike off a geezer who was a model
    engineer, and he was making a gorgeous BSA DBD34 Gold Star from
    scratch.

    It was some odd scale - like one-ninth, or one-seventh or something. I
    forget now. I asked why he'd chosen that scale, and he pointed to the
    chain and said that he'd based it all on the smallest proper roller
    chain he could find. He didn't mind making everything himself, but
    he'd decided he wasn't going to make 120-130 links of chain.

    Fair enough, I thought...

    Most of them were bikes available in Spain as the only choice after the
    Civil War...

    Just bring your bike of choice (and money of his choice) and he will 1/6ize
    it.
