A-Plan did £308 incl. commuting and business use. Would have been
cheaper if K hadn't had a minor prang in the Prius last year. However,
it includes 90 day EU cover and EU breakdown, should I need it.

I've bought a late, red, UK, Mk1 1.8 with PAS. Collecting on Monday -
it's in Bicester, which appears to be 4 train rides away, ffs.

You busy on Monday? - fancy catching up for a quick coffee around 3pm?

Steve, nothing would give me greater pleasure; unfortunately though I'll
be at work until at least 6pm, by which time I expect you'll be back in
    Wales.

    Maybe next time?

Yes, I should be home by then.
You think I'll be visiting Bicester for a 2nd time? ;)

I'd forgotten you lived there - it used to be one of my regular customer
calls back in my Tchibo days.

Heh, my missus quite liked Tchobo stuff.

Bicester is on the standard Chinese tourist's tour of Britain I'll have
    ya know.

Good choice. I took mine for a run to clear the cobwebs out on Wednesday
afternoon. It never fails to make me grin. They may not be very
powerful, but the bottom end torque (at least from the 1.8) is
surprisingly good for a motor that then goes on to rev so willingly.

    I'm sure I'll enjoy mine.

Need to fit a structural rollover bar at some point, so I can track it
    later this year....

    Not bad for £1.1k, IMHO.

Looks much tidier than mine. How many miles on the clock?

112 on mine. Has it had its (second) cam belt change? Mine had been
getting a bit of hydraulic tappet clatter but Mobil 1 0w - 40 on the
last oil change has worked wonders.

    It's had a recent belt change - so I'm assuming that's the 2nd change.

I'd been thinking about a MkII I'd seen on Autotrader - leggy as hell at
160k miles - but it was sold when I finally decided to phone about it.

More than likely he's just a bad financial risk, but looking for any
excuse for why he got rejected.

  16. A lot called Grove and Dean private clients, the specialise in classic
stuff. Comparison sites seem hopeless for imports. Email me if you
want more details as I don't have them to hand at the mo.

  17. I insure my Magentis with Admiral, they suggested the multiple car
thing to me, but when I told then the other car was a Eunos they went
a bit quiet, eventually came up with over £500 and a stupid excess,

Did they do the water pump at the same time? Otherwise I'd budget for
that - it's not an expensive job but the water pump should be changed at
    the same time.
160k isn't leggy for an MX5, they do hold up very well.

    And then abandon their house.
