Paging the MX5 Poofs

last weekend.

Bloody great. Highly Recommended.

Although this one: http://www.rclick.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=53&products_id=267
is a lot cheaper for what seems to be the same thing.

 

I fitted a cheap one and wish I hadn't. Unless the battery's absolutely
fully charged the solenoids run out of oomph and it's pot luck if none,
one, or both locks operate. It also flattens the minuscule battery in
the car if it isn't run for a couple of weeks.

 

Surely that's the alarm, not the CL?

On a car with a rag top I can't see the point and the battery needs
all the help it can get. The Westco in mine has been fine since I had
the alarm deactivated.

 

Only two fucking doors anyway, and they are close enough to each other to
not need CL.

 

I am extremely lazy.

 

Mine doesn't have an alarm, luckily, or it would have been the first
thin in the bin.

No alarm. The radio for the (cheap) CL is enough to drain the battery in
a couple of weeks.

 

Also, do NOT touch MX5 parts, bunch of halfwits & getting a fucking refund
for their fuckups isnt easy.

They do NOT understand the distance selling act at all.

 

Oh. It's *remote* CL. Sorry. Didn't look that closely.

Do what? My experience of them has been the exact opposite. Sure I've
had stuff go wrong, but they've sorted it pretty quickly.

 

Maybe you called them a different name?

Out of 4 orders, they fucked up 3 to the point of real stupidity, took
payment on out of stock items, the website is crap & they are also fucking
expensive.
