    In communiqué <1j61qei.knuy5uok1zk0N%>,
    Agreed, particularly without leading links.
My old Mille/RS3 was prettier IMHO.

One ditches the bars for something wider.

The brakes, hmm I looked at that a long time ago. Easiest option is to
change the front end with a complete kit from Motorworks and ebay the
old parts. Or set them up carefully!

But it's still a tidy bike

I'm not buying into the whole leading link thing. The R65 certainly
    didn't need them.

  6. How would they fit in the fairing, though?

Incidentally, the KRS I've just bought has K1 bars (ever so slightly
wider), and the mirrors are mounted on K1 extenders to provide the extra
    protection. A very neat mod.

You need to ride a correctly set up outfit with leading links (no
offence Andy) to appreciate the advantage. A 100RS would be capable of
significantly higher speeds than an R65. Still, if you just want to
bimble round in the snow on three wheels, it probably isn't an issue.

You have to scallop out the fairing, using a spare top half ;o)
