Paging the Mac-isti

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Simon Wilson, Dec 17, 2009.

  1. I hadn't realised they were using it on all the MBP's now, I thought
just the baby one, which was a MB with ambitions.

This one (with decent keyboard) needs to be seen by apple for a dodgy
DVD drive. I'll have a dillemma if they offer to swap it out for a new
    version.

I'm sorry, unless it's changed since I got my MacBook, that is *nothing*
    like a Spectrum keyboard.

My MB keyboard is marvellous, I quite like the"chiclet" design myself.

No. The important things about Spectrum keyboards, the very essence if
you like, is that they were made of rubber. Chiclet keyboards aren't.
    They (chiclets) also work.

  8. Well, yeah, I'm not talking about what they're made of; I'm talking
    about the design.

I find the current mac keyboards ghastly looking and nasty to use. I
want them to go back to the ones in use in the first link above, which
are attractive and pleasurable to type with.

I see. Conversely, I much prefer the newer types. Chacun a son gout.

  14. Well, "keyboards are a broad church", I suppose. It's clear to me,
though, that apple have gone down to the lowest standard, given that
the keyboard that was deleted was the premium product.

Which is why your colleagues are talking along the lines of: "a gay man
can have children and be married, it doesn't stop them being gay".

It's a rebellion thing. Having Apple hardware in an IBM-iron-only
    establishment.

I'm working on getting a MacBook Pro.
