This is the funniest thing I've seen all Christmas.

    I may just wet myself.

    Best TG of all time?

How many of us want to go to Vietnam and do that trip on a Minsk 125
    now?

Was a bit of a laugh wasn't it? Even Clarkson was amusing. Sometimes.

the roads out there just aren't suited to big bikes, believe me, I've
thought about it - too many potholes and stuff

The method of driving is completely different, you need something small
and nippy, and you need to learn to drive / ride like they do

If you're in the second row of bikes 11 across at a junction with a bus
behind you, there's not much room for mistakes

I might put up some short vids of driving in SE asia later this week

  11. Not me. Vietnam, yes, but on anything except a Minsk.

I tested one in 1982. The Doctor rode it back to where we were living,
from the dealer who supplied it. So to south London from north London.
It conked out about four times in the hour or so it took to get home. I
started laughing and she got the hump and screamed at me.

Utterly horrible, hateful nasty little bike.

Seems to me they chose the ideal steeds for the trip. Plenty of locally
available bits and expertise. Nothing that couldn't be kicked straight
or swapped out in twenty minutes.

With the possible exception of the "backup vehicle". :^)
