No, it's almost certainly an N, not a U. Comparison with the Ns in
Lancashire and the many instances of 'son' support this, whereas the
Us in 'daughter' are all much more regular and rounded.

I think the old/misspelling of Hanlea/Hanley is almost certainly
correct. There is another Hanley in Warwickshire that has had that
deviant spelling in the past.
