Paging the handling gurus

  1. If a bike previously noted for its neutral steering (by one N. Champion
Esq.) suddenly developed a slight but noticeable tendency to understeer
in fast sweepers, where would you start the investigation:

    (A) Tyres?
    (B) Suspension?
    (C) Rider?
    (D) Quantum Physics?

Said motorcycle might be a little "odd" in the front suspension
department, in case you were wondering...

Tyre pressures, assuming it was acting the same, whether in a left or right
    hander.

Wicked Uncle Nigel emerged from their own little world to say
My tyres dropped a few psi with the cooler ambient temperature. My funny
    front end doesn't like this.

One of the things I've read about Omega-framed bikes, over the years, is
that they're hard on their tyres, and the handling goes off noticeably when
the tyre starts to wear. What does your rear tyre look like,
    condition-wise?

OK, two from two had me just out in the garage checking again.

They're both spot-on (36/42) where they were when the RacerGod made him
    "neutral handling" comment.

    So it ain't that.

See up ^^^ there, I've just checked them and they're spot on.
Teddy seems firmly in his box at the moment, and I don't *think* I've
got noticeably lardier in the last few day. I can still get my trousers
    done up, anyway.

Worn, but not excessively so. Not noticeably squared-off. I'd say it's
    about half-way to done in.

I was about to chest-beat about its lack of chicken strips when I
remembered it's been whored-out as a CIHAGM steed, so it probably wasn't
    me...

Rider position can influence understeer if the rider rotates around the tank
    instead of leaning straight off.

Quantum physics effects everything, so that must be the answer... I blame it
    on the quarks.

  10. First thing I'd look at. If the front tyre is a bit flattish in profile
it tends to understeer. I take it you're talking about the GTS? In which
case, given the unknown (by me) characteristics of that suspension, your
guess is as good as mine.

Is the front wearing evenly on both sides? Maybe the camber adjustment.
Try 38 in the front, see what happens.

  12. Rear suspension, causing the back end to sag, thereby increasing the
    trail, and making it slower-steering.

Still at least the SOC car I was MIG welding [1](which made me late)
    got through the MOT :)

Seems to be. In fact, more evenly than most bikes I've owned.
36 *was* working fine. I think it's tyre wear.
