A friend of mine went skydiving in Poland, where amongst other things[1] some of the jumps were from ex-soviet military transport helicopters. [1] Hot air balloon is apparently the weirdest to jump from
You can do that in Nimrods, too. Top fun at around 180 knots. I'd recommend removing any headgear first, though. And spectacles.

might be - I like it though. My /favourite/ vodka (as opposed to "one of") is probably Stoli Razberri (or however it's spelt). Straight, straight from the freezer.

I've also just found out the Russians made 3 and 4 rotor engines for military use in trucks, etc... Hmm... Apparently they're all Mazda lumps under license - just that the license only allowed them to make them for the Russian market; I've yet to find out just how good they were. Can you imagine a Lada Samara with an RX7 engine? Happened. -- Dave GS 850 x2 / SE 6a SbS#6 DIAABTCOD#16 APOSTLE#6 FUB#3 FUB KotL OSOS#12? UKRMMA#19 COSOC#10

Actually - if you were to assume that 'fax copy'[1] was a shorthand version of 'a copy via fax' then it isn't necessarily incorrect. Longwinded yes - incorrect no. Phil. [1] As opposed to a 'posted copy' or an 'emailed copy' - ie a copy sent via a particular method.
I worked with a guy once who went to Russia to do some work and came back with 5000 of the cardboard rolled ciggarettes 'because they were cheap' and tried to flog them to people round work. Even at 10p for 20 (this was in the days of £1.50/pack on normal ciggies) he couldn't shift them and ended up burning them on the bonfire to get rid of them. Even then the neighbours complained about the smell. Phil
