    I wasn't complaining, I was just stating a fact.

Anyway, Xananews *shouldn't* strip it out, because it's not the standard
    for a sig separator.

that oddest bit of all is that, if you do the dash dash space return
thing in Google groups, it doesn't show up properly in a "real"
newsreader, but it /does/ still show up viewing such a post in Google
    groups.

    I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.14 here.

if I drag-highlight the text in the browser itself, it highlights a
    space after the "--".

If I do "view frame source" on my post that you've just replied to, I
    see:

    "viewing such a post in Google <br> groups. <br> <p>-- <br> d. <br>"

with a breaking space between the "--" and the "<br>" tag.

and to summarize: it's basically a cluster-**** on Google's part.

    *DING!* *DING FUCKING DING!!*

That's my whole CUNTING problem with the MOTHERFUCKING thing right
    THERE!!

    phew...

And ANOTHER thing - it's taken me fucking 90 MINUTES to post this
FUCKING reply 'cos the bastard thing limits the number of posts you
can make in a given period in a way that's utterly ineffable...

    Apart from that it's fine.

That's only an option if the firewall that you're sat behind doesn't
    block NNTP traffic.
