How many 16 year olds would want to be seen *near*, let alone in that
    thing?

IIRC any 16 year who hasn't an engine driven form of transport of their
own. Even the ones with the Honda Melody and Puch Maxi had kudos if you
    didn't have anything.

I hadn't actually read the title properly, but I'm going to say "yes" anyway
because, frankly, I need all the credit I can get for humour these days.

Well, if Eddie doesn't mind housing it I'll go and collect it, provided it's
not _too_ far out in the wild and woolly wastes, because I notice the
auction ends mid-week, when Eddie will be far away in sunny Leeds.

It'll need a new tyre soon; so as long as it comes back with the same
amount of diesel it left with and a shiny new tyre (185R14) I'll be happy.

As you know, there's little street parking round us, but if it's no
bigger than a small car then it can go in the garage. I see Eddie's
volunteered, so he might be closer - in which case I'll help him pick
    it up.

Thursday morning, with three days to collect. We could all go, thrash
the tits off it before TOG arrives.

    Party!

  12. Cheers. Well, let's see if I win the auction or not. I'm prepared to
spend a grand or thereabouts, but I think it may go for more.

  13. That begs a question - is it legal to park one of these in a bike bay?

    It's a moped, see.

I know sidecars aren't allowed in bike bays if they're marked "Solo
motorcycles only" but are in ordinary "Motorcycles only" bays, but this
    is a solo, innit?

    On Sun, 10 Oct 2004 10:41:56 +0100,
I could do it. I work in Newcastle, daspite actually living on
teesside, and my brother has an empty garage that is doing nothing,
about 10 miles north of Newcastle, so I could even store it securely
    if needed.

    I'm on f e s t c u a t n t l w o r l d d o t c o m if you need my

It's in Berwick - Oh the joys of the A1 on a friday afternoon, in a
    50cc shoebox van.

    I'd still do it :)

  20. Yebbut, this is legally a moped. Which puts it in the same category as
the Honda Stream of the 1980s, or the old Ariel Three.
