Paging the Geordies

  1. I may be bidding on this

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2493297067&fromMake
    Track=true

    Cue the CIHAGM postings.

As you can see, the seller requires it taken away within three days of
auction end. My prob is (a) I'm Darn Sarf and (b) I'll be in France for
    3 days.

Is there anybody reasonably local who could pick this thing up, and
better still, hand over the readies (I mean, obviously I'll send the
dosh up to Newcastle) and (even better) stash it for a week or so until
I can arrange to get it down to SW London.

That would mean a van, or something. I think piloting it 300-odd miles
would be an exercise in patience and terror.

Anyway, I may not win the auction. No idea what his reserve is, but I
know what my budget is, and I'm going to have a punt.

The dealers for import etc are only a stones throw from here. Based
    Orpington.
    Parts will be easy then.
Although I doubt even the Doctor will miss it on the drive !!

Well I'm in Northumberland, but I'm not entirely sure I could find somewhere
to put it for a week.

It's just the kind of thing that SWMBO would go ape-shit about having parked
    outside the house.

As has already been pointed out: you're a sick, sick, man. Seek help.
More like "Please don't make me have a go, mister".
If it's definitely moveable under its own power, and it's not at the
wrong end of Northumberland, I could find a home for it.

Check *exactly* where it is though, will you?
I think getting it across Northumberland will be bad enough.
You're a sick and twisted individual, but you already knew that.

  17. Because. Do I have to have a sane reason?

And The Doctor says she can use it to putter with all her tools and
buckets and spades down to her allotment.

And Helen can drive it when she's 16 (it's legally a moped).

  18. It'll fit in the back of a Micra, I should think.

Hmmmm... what's the bribery factor for a loan of the Sherpa? ;-))
