To forestall any more of the queries I've had in the last 24 hours ;-)

    1. We are going from Dover

    2. We are sailing to Calais.

    3. We are sailing on a POSL boat.

    4. We are not taking the tunnel.

    5. Aim to check in at 11.30am latest, for safety's sake.

    6. Present your reference number at check-in. You will be given a
    ticket.

    7. We are going from Dover

    8. We are sailing to Calais

    9. We are sailing on a P&O boat.

The hotel is Le Relais, in Sedan.

Dinner's at 8pm, so you'll need to get a move on once you're off the
    boat.

Is the obvious route from Calais as dull as it potentially looks?

    Yes.

Just tag along with some of the SOB's than you can point and laugh as
    one sheds its chain.

If you mean the autoroute via Reims, then yes. I wouldn't recommend the
N43 from Cambrai to Charleville, it's even more tedious than the
autoroute and takes three times as long. Even without random detours
    through the countryside.

Left turn onto the D988 followed by a right onto the D88, D31,N819 and
    finally N95/N58 to Sedan?

Suspect it will take ages but it looks rather interesting :)

It was fun though, I rememeber thinking to myself I can't see a thing
other than these tyre tracks.. and if they veer off anywhere I'm slowing
down. As the branch of a tree blew across both lanes.

Afraid so, yes. The roads in the Ardennes more than make up for it,
    though.

  15. Not really. The trick is to look out for SD sitting in a laybuy having a
Tab. However fast you go you will always find SD further sitting in
another laybuy having another Tab. Strange that. He's like some sort of
Genie! Always stop and have a chat and make a wish.

  19. 26-28 May, so there's a hotel place going begging if anyone wants to
arrange their own ferry and pay BGN for the place.
