Does anyone live near a half-decent comic strip shop (aka bandes
desinees in French, give or take a few missing accents and spelling
    mistakes)?

Alternatively, does anyone know of a UK supplier of foreign comic
books, for those amongst us who speak furrin'?

I'm after the French translation of a Spanish book (don't read
Spanish, you see) as it's not out (yet) in German.

It's extremely unlikely that any volume of that series has been
translated to English as I can't find any mention on *any* UK website,
whereas a more general google produces lots of hits in Germany, France
    and Spain.

    TIA,

    T.

  2. If you don't manage to find it, with the offers posted by the others, I
have a Fnac near me (Châtelet), and they _will_ have it, if it has been
published in France. E-mail me if you want. Otherwise, you could try
their site [1], and try ordering it.

Crystal ball away for servicing again, eh?

The book title is 'Blacksad 2: Arctic-Nation', published by Dargaud.
Here's a link to a review with more info and a picture of the cover:

Yes, yes, I keep meaning to learn Italian properly, atm it's only good
    for deciphering Italian SOB magazines.
Gngngngngn. Lost in last night's last bottle of Cobra beer most
likely. I *knew* I'd forgotten something but could I figure out
    *what*?

  7. I'll nip along to the Fnac now, and post later on, if I find it. If
someone else finds it first, all well and good. I shan't buy it until you
e-mail me to let me know that I'm your last recourse ('plus ça change ...')
    ;-)

    Fraid so.
I'll have a quick shuftie on my way home. If not joy, then I may be
able to find it in Paris next week - unless Des finds it first.

Yep, Fnac Châtelet has it. 12.60 EUR. According to the fit young blonde
bint behind the 'Accueil' counter, you can order it on the website [1], and
there's an option which you tick, to not transmit your credit card details.
You then call them, the number being ...

    00 33 153 562 800

Failing all that, let me know, and I can buy a copy and send it to you.

If you're meeting the folks on the French run, maybe someone would be
so kind and find some space for the book? TOG, you reading this?
Heh :). I'll pay cash on delivery this time then :)
