Got a mate, really, who was over for lunch yesterday and he was
bemoaning the problems he has getting a suit in the range between, off
    the peg and Savile Row.
I remember the subject coming up a couple of times and firms/tailors
being mentioned and so offered the FOAK as a possibility.
Would anyone who feels able to help be so kind as to make recommendation
based on personal experience and any contact details they might have.

    Thanks.

  2. The most recent recommendation was Raja Fashions who do made to
measure from Hong Kong but who have regular measuring / ordering
appointments in the UK. IIRC Ogden was well pleased with shirts and a
    suit from them.

I've not used them but intent to do so.

The only caveat I'd give to the recommendation is the finish on the
shirts isn't as good as the finish on the suits. It's not even as good
as the off-the-shelf Balmain and John Lewis shirts I've got.

But they fit perfectly, for which I can forgive prety much anything,
even at fifty quid a pop.

The main alternative I know of is asuitthatfits.com - a few people at
work have used them (mostly because they occasionally set themselves up
in a meeting room touting for business) and seem quite happy with the
    results.

Coleman & Son, London Road, Leicester.

I know them as I go shooting with the Tailor, who doesnt work in the
shop, as he's at home making suits.
He tells me they have lots of folk from London coming for their suits,
top quality he says, and I do believe him, at half the price of London
    suits.
They come up in this thread too:

    -these-days>

They do do off the peg stuff, but will adjust it to fit you - they had a
nice suit in that was a little too big in places for me, and adjusted
it, and I'm really pleased with it.

  11. I'm sure there are plenty here who could give advice on what to wear for
a court appearance, if that's what you mean. Personally, I favour the
serious-but-casual look, with an ensemble of bike boots, BLJ and a BSA
    t-shirt.

Depends really on what you call 'Off the peg' and 'Saville Row'

    http://www.foxtailoring.co.uk/

£499 for tailor made. Far better quality than anything I've ever seen on
    the peg.

Doesn't do mail order, though AFAIK.

I'm sure, but he's looking for something to wear while seeking to flog
those that arrested you state of the art communications, but he may take
    on board the BSA shirt.

I should think so - from £129 for a shirt?

    Nah,I paid less than that.

They also last a lot longer, IME, than the one's I've bought from other
    stores.
