  1. inadequate First Aid supplies in plod cars.

Is it only me that reads the second part of that statement and thinks,
"well, if the managers are unaware, the manager's managers are the true
    cunts"

Which, lets face it, is never going to happen - so why not have an
easily breakable single use seal on the kit[1], and the responsibility
on the drivers to report any useage, topped off with a routine "all
    vehicles check" by the plodshop.

Or even, issueing of a sealed kit to the driver at start of shift and
return at end of shift. Probably along with the car keys.

    FFS, it's not rocket science.

That aside - any of the plodsters here want to comment on the first aid
training given to plods these days? Any good? Variance by rank? etc

[1] which enables immediate recongnition as to whether the kit has been
touched since the last check. Rather than having to open the kit and
verify each and every item only to find it's still a complete kit.

But at the end of the day are the 'managers' going to check esch
vehicle at the start of shift for the adequacy of the first aid boxes?

I know that I don't check mine daily and instead rely upon others to
    inform when supplies need replacing.
I've no doubt that the managers are *very* aware of their
responsibilities. Are the employees aware though?
    Probably the best way.

They don't check their cars for dope either. I got stitched right up
once cos they said they found a lump a gange in the back of the car and
produced about a quarter in the interview.

    Fucking wankers.

    I never claimed it was.

As I have no doubt you are well aware that employees have a duty to
    their employees too.

    It was everyones fault.

Besides, the copper was shot in the head, it would have to have been
some fucking first aid kit to help him out.

They stitched me up. I disposed of what I had before arrest and the bit
they produced that they "found in the car"(the one I got a lift to the
nick in)in the interview wasn't mine.

    snip
It would have still made it a fucking sight safer for the nurse who helped
    him.
Like it says - "There are supposed to be disposable gloves in the kit".
Too fucking right there are. There's so much Hepatitis and HIV about its as
dangerous as **** to get some other cunts blood over you.

And where do you suppose the gloves went anyway?-
Either they were used for first aid and hadn't yet been replaced
or they'd been shoved on to work on someone's motor.

But if you're only issued with one pair what the **** is supposed to happen
    until the next pair arrive?

The cunts at the top of the tree *are* largely responsible - They should kit
them out with a good supply of gloves in various sizes. They're what, 3p a
    pair?

As for 'Should all the moto-plod know what's what about first aid kits' -
Its a no-brainer. They're all trained as first aiders and training covers
    kit.
