I seem to remember arriving at your place, having lugged my old 195s all the
way from Blighty, and you told me to chuck them in the skip. I borrowed the
money (GBP150) to buy them, back in nineteen-eighty-whatever it was.

It's not. Probably my description leaves something to be desired. It
takes just a couple of minutes to put on in the morning and/or at each
loo stop, and just a second to engage/disengage fir use.

That was just a month or so after we'd moved there, so your ski visit
    was definitely some time later.

Easy peasy! Treat the problem shopping like a woman of very dubious
sexual history. Double bag it! Balance the aforementioned shopping on
pillion seat, apply cargo net and Bobs your uncle. If you have a flat
tank you can get some on there as well.

Finally always buy an even number of beers so they slot together nicely
in the bag. Cases of 24 are very easy to transport and serve as a base
for the rest of the shopping.[1]

[1] Do not mislead yourself into thinking that you will have to go shopping
for beer less often due to the large quantity strapped to your bike.

Other than the TT, I rode my GSXR a grand total of five times last
year due to spending most of the year working in Scotland and wanting
to spend time with the family when I was at home on weekends.

Don't regret it at all and will be keeping it for a very long time.

I do admire the pluck and determination displayed, I really do. I
really enjoy the quirky writeups too, but damn, I'd never be able to
put so much time - and money - into it. Respeck to the RBR massive,
but I was thinking about Sunday morning bimblettes.

Well, it's been done before, but i'd welcome a return of the FOF's.
Would give me an excuse to turn a wheel on the weekends i'm here ..

    FOFs or FOTs?

I kept the latter going for years after the last significant UKRM
turnout, mostly by getting people from the SV forum out to play.

The last time I can remember a major UKRM presence at a Sunday rideout
was early 2003, for the "AnniFOT". Since then it's been pretty much
diddlly-squat with a few consistent exceptions.

It's a worry, and no mistake. Especially as a 4200 has just been
presented to me that I could buy over the weekend. If I sell the bike.
