  1. December 3rd last year. And one of the few consolations I have about
getting the Spazztrakka stolen is that they got it with a nearly empty
    tank.

My youngest daughter eats there when she visits her old school friend
Libby[1] - Gina says the food is 'ok', but her idea of a good meal out
is eating a KFC with her boyfriend from the bucket in her Clio with
drum and bass pounding out of the speakers.

[1] Libby's dad is CEO of Dubai International Airport and spoils Gina
    rotten when she visits.

  7. Keep your pecker up, it may do. My Baby had her CG125 lifted when she
lived in Southend and it turned up in a garage in Hertford over 2 years
    later.

Double bagging, I'll go along with that. Have to be choosy with yer
till operatives round here, as some of them are obviously on a
profit-sharing scheme and whipping more than a couple of bags per
hunderdweight earns you a steely glare, before which stronger men than
me would quiver. An extra bag on top of that to tie through the
handles of the loaded bags helps a lot, as does a centre stand to get
the plot on the level in the first place. Necks of beer bottles
protruding through the cargo net ensure stability.
I learned that bike rallying. Being the junior member it was often
down to me to carry slabs for others, especially if they had pillions.
Three slabs high with camping gear and bag of clothes etc on top of
that was approaching pillion loading - and the final 24-case, broken
down and rammed into the tankbag would flatten the suspension on my old
CB750 to the extent that I'd feel a coin if I ran over it - and I'd
need to feel it, 'cos I couldn't see it, as the headlight aim was
depressed to just in front of the tyre.

This was about the time that I discovered the advantages of ratchet
straps over bungees, as three slabs sliding is beyond the elastic limit.
    Perzshakly. Hic!

Yes, exactly. Going out with others, even if it was a little
frustrating at times as they wouldn't overtake, or would brake
mid-corner, was the reason I'd go. Did several lots of 'FOTs and a few
'FOFs and a few rideouts with the HOC. I just need to be going
    somewhere, it seems.
I wrestle my boat of a Bandit into the garage backwards, making it easy
to get out and it leans the right way, away from the toolboxes too.
Must get one on the road, this end.

  16. Thoroughly let down in my case. Seeing all the replies to what I thought
was a throw away line and all my heroes turning out to have feet of clay.

I appreciate the offer, but I've got enough spannering to do on the
bikes I've got here already, to keep me busy for some time.

  19. Just like my salary and therefore my pensionable pay. This despite
statements saying it would never be done when they switched us to the
pay arrangements we are now on.

    err. whatever really.

They were always a bit far away, as i'm not really on the FOT
doorstep, but I should get some of the bigger bikes back roadworthy,
and give them a good sound thrashing ..

    Paul.
