    Hob nobbing with a VP of Oracle and Schmidt in his Novel days, using
    Ellison's limo and driver and Novel's private jet to zip around USA, felt
    pretty fucking good to me.

    I rarely see a bill of less than £80 in Waitrose and I'm probably in there 3
    times a month and that's for 1 anna half.

    Hide everything. Give up work for a while. Lean back on the State. That'll
    **** her right between the eyes.

    Only in so much as one would travel in order to laugh at how the poor people
    live

    £4 max IWHT. Some hospitals are doing it for £1 a day, according to
    the DoH.

    It's about double the national average. Believe it or not

    Oh, I can believe it. I still don't think 8 quid is excessive.

    You're pretty much on the money. Last figures I saw were about £55 per
    household per week, and there are (I think) about 26 million
    households in the UK.

    Average size of household...

    <Googles>

    about 2.5 people. So yes, that's about right.
    I remember seeing the figures for prisons, a decade or so ago. I think
    it was then £1.15 a day.

    <Quiick Google>

    £1.87 a day in 2006.

    Go for it D. Go for it.

    I'd already offered to hide his Ducati, before it went down.

    That almost leaves me speechless, knowing you fly cattle class. I can't
    comment on hospital food, not having had any since I was 5.

    So you're suggesting someone dodges their responsibilities and pushes
    the cost onto the taxpayer.

    Not good.

    TBF I think it's the other way. The ex would go for ready meals and
    that sort of shite, on my own I was spending considerably more or
    better stuff[1]. The current SO insists pretty much on fresh
    ingredients so I reckon my food sending has about doubled over recent
    times. FWIW it was £69 yesterday to restock the fridge knock of the £8
    for beers and a bit for bogrolls etc it was still >£55 on food.

    [1] Switching from supermarket bread to the local bakers means it's
    £1.90 a loaf or so.
