I'm sure this will deeply offend you, but I quite like scrambled egg with
    tattie scones as well.

  5. Just out of interest, what type of "hash browns" are we talking about?

Well I prefer BK but gracious me even I can enjoy the occasional McD. They
    are better in France.

When I moved to Holland I was a veggie and McD was frequently the only place
I could eat as they did some suitable stuff.

I'm not sure what a "tattie scone" is, but it sounds like it might be a
bit like bubble-and-squeak without the squeak, in which case I might
allow it theoretically - but I'm not sure I'd like it.

  12. Well, yes and no. There's lots of *things* that people call hash
    browns, which aren't.

    Potato scone.

Popular with people from north of the border. Ghastly.

A good quality PS can be fried in the pan with an egg and they go rather
well together. With lots of salt, naturally.

I've driven the road to Santa Cruz through Scotts Valley a couple of
times. Also PCH, so yes I know there are some good ones. One of my
colleagues commutes on a CBR600RRRRRR from Santa Cruz and has already
collected an impressive number of speeding fines.

I disagree. If there are no greens then the cooked spud sliced & then fried
in the bacon fat is acceptable.

Also, my brother-in-law is a British Indian. Breakfast cooked by his
Punjabi mum is excellent. Sausage, bacon & eggs served with potato &
    coriander filled chapatis. Delish.

I'll confess to having eaten a burger king sober last year because I'd
just got off a flight to Forth Worth and that was the first /only
vaguely edible food I could find on a Sunday evening.

I doubt that. I bet you remember meals where there were things that you
disliked and you try to avoid eating them again in the future.

You've also posted a recommendation for at least one restaurant in
Cheltenham, the Italian by the bus station. Their food must've left a
positive impression on you even if the principle reason for the
recommendation was the service, the wine list or the fuckability of the
staff. I found all four to be "good" last time I went there.
